I am in a hurry! Nothing says McDonald's like a 30 minute lunch, or running late to a 2 hour meeting. If I know I don't have time to eat something good then I drive through McDonald's and pick a value meal and get out. I wish I had a better reason, but honestly the food is not that great, but fast! I do love there fries when I get them hot.

Reason 2. Kids! I think McDonald's is genius because they figured out they can serve ok food, but if they have something fun for the kid's they will get the whole family. My kids beg me to go to McDonald's so that they can play on the playground, get a 25 cent toy, and some ice cream. The great thing is that it is also one of the cheapest forms of entertainment for our family of 5. My kids get to play and have fun on the playground unless a demon kid with parents that don't seem to care is on a rampage, or a sick kids wiping germs all over the playground are not in site.

McDonalds might not be the best food but they do know how to run a business, and the reason I know this is because they get mine about 2 times a month, and I don't even want to go.

Wonderful SteakHouse in Dallas Texas

Let me start by saying this; my husband loves steak. I have been taken to just about every steak house you can think of in this metro plex called Dallas, and my husband just can't get enough steak.

Steak isn't always an affordable way to feed your family, but it isn't impossible to find a delicious steak that will fit into your budget. One of our favorite steakhouses to eat at is Hoffbrau Steakhouse in Dallas Texas. Not only is the food great, but the prices are pretty great too.
My husband loves to eat ribeye, and I love to eat filet steak. Needless to say, the filet is delicious, and my husband is always pleased with his ribeye.

Everyone knows that it's not all about the steak. What good is it to have a great steak and terrible sides to go with it. Hoffbrau SteakHouse serves amazing sides and appetizers too. My personal favorite appetizer is Hoffbrau's fried mushrooms. Oh my word are they good! I like to eat the fried mushrooms dipped in Ranch dressing. It is truly one of my favorite things to eat when we go to Hoffbrau.

We are a family of five, so whenever we are looking for a place to eat, I atomatically start thinking about the dollars and cents of the evening. Obviously we wouldn't be able to afford to be paying outrageous amounts of money just to eat out, everyone knows that we've got to be smart with our money now a days, and we shouldn't just blow it on anything and everything. We can take our whole family of 5 and eat for around $75.00. Obviously we don't do this every weekend, but it is definitly something we can afford every couple of weeks.

If you are in the Dallas area, I highly recommend that you visit Hoffbrau Steakhouse for a delicious, juicy, mouthwatering steak. They always have great food and great service. Hoffbrau is family friendly, but is still a great place to go if you are out on the town with your special someone. Try Hoffbrau for a celebration or a special occasion. Hoffbrau has also started catering and their services are fantastic. Whether by yourself or with a group of friends and family, everyone will leave feeling satisfied and pleased with their meal at Hoffbrau Steakhouse.

Awesome Hole in Wall Mexican Food in Farmers Branch

I went to this little whole in the wall joint for Mexican food while traveling through Farmers Branch TX, and I found some of the best Mexican food I have ever tasted. The name of the place was La Victorias and it was simple amazing. First off the special was only $2.99 which by the way is cheap than McDonald's, and then the portions were full plates of food, and I mean full.

I ordered the enchilada special because well I like to eat enchiladas, guacamole, and an Ice Tea. Let's start with the guacamole, this is real stuff made by hand, and they don't try to add weird crap in it, it is simple but perfect guacamole from texture to ingredients. Then came my enchiladas and they were cooked to perfection, and although the lady spoke very little English she was extremely nice.

I know most of the time we think of the big restaurant with the nice sign, and beutiful building, but I believe if you want real Mexican food then you should start looking a the little restaurants, the whole in wall joints that everyone bypasses because it's not a brand name. But you are not going to find home made tortillas in a chain Mexican restaurant.

Take my advice and live a little and try a whole in the wall Mexican restaurant the next time you are out.

Good Italian Place

My family and I are a family that likes to spend time together. Sometimes we go to the park, sometimes we cook together. We pray together and play together. One of the things we enjoy doing is going out as a family. There is nothing better than sitting around the table with your children and hearing all about what is going on in their lives and just enjoying the company of those you love most.

My kids love Italian food, and we have tried many restaurants in the Dallas area. We like Two Guys from Italy, The Olive Garden, and Brothers Pizza, but our very favorite is Buca Di Beppo. At Buca, when you order, the food comes out family style. One big bowl of Spagetti, or a giant plate of lasagna, and you have enough food to feed a family of five. Now I know that they tell you a small is big enough to feed two to three people, but a small feeds my whole family (mom, dad and three kids.) The atmosphere is pleasant, but there are some pictures on the wall that are a little questionable. The pictures aren't too over the edge, but some of them are right on it.

If you are worried about price, don't. Buca is surprisingly affordable. We can go into to Buca Di Beppo and feed the entire family of 5, with 5 drinks and come away spending about $50.00 after tip.

Not only is their food great, but their desert is delicious. We just celebrated my 30th birthday at Buca with the entire family, in-laws and all, and everyone loved it. My favorite meal there is Penne Basilica, with Chicken Carbonara in close second. Every meal is served with freshly baked bread and the bread is served with oil and vinegar. It’s different but pretty good. My kids love the pizza which is served on a platter which is laid on top of huge cans of tomato sauce. I would have never thought of doing that, but it keeps the pizza off the table, and makes for a pretty cool decoration.

If you are in the Dallas area and you’re looking for a great Italian place to eat, be sure to try Buca Di Beppo. The food is wonderful and the service is fantastic.

Interesting Little Steakhouse

The other day I was in a small little town in west Texas and I came across this little steakhouse on the side of I-20, now I don't completely remeber the name of the this place, but I do remember how great the prim rib was. A matter of fact I would dare say it was the best prime rib I have ever eaten.

I tried to re locate the restaurant on the internet but had not luck at all, and now I am frusterated, because I want to give credit where credit is due, but cannot seem to figure out the name of the place. So, I decided the best plan for me and my stomach is to take another road trip in the near future down I-20 and try to find that steakhouse again. Anyway if you have any clue as to the name of the place and you please drop me an email so that I can add it to this post.

Steak is my favorite food, and I eat at a ton of steak houses all over the US, so I will be adding my personal review of steak houses that I like and dislike, and I will also be sure to tell you the highlights of every meal.

In my life I have enjoyed having the privilege to travel from state to state, and you would be surprised at where you can find a really good steak. It could be in a big city, or down a dirt path on a country road, but they are out there, and I am determined to eat at them all.

Steak is not a food for me it is a hobby, and eating steak is what I do, so get out the fork and knife, and lets get ready to eat some steak.
